American Mathematical Society
e-MATH, the web site of the AMS, features MathSciNet, Mathematical Reviews on the Web, including an author 'lookup' tool for articles published since 1940; AMS Electronic Journals, including text-searchable archives; and AMS Updates, news from the world of mathematics.
The British Society for the History of Mathematics
Abstracts since 1992 from the BSHM Newsletter were catalogued and are listed by author. Upcoming meetings sponsored by the BSHM, such as Research in Progress day and History of Mathematics in Education are also detailed.
Computing Research Association
CRA resources include Computing Research News (CRN) Online, the CRA Bulletin, and several studies and reports, such as Historical Trends in Computer Science: 1975-91 and Culture, Society and Advanced Information Technology.
European Mathematical Society
The European Mathematical Information Service, the web site of the EMS, offers on-line access to Zentralblatt für Mathematik / Mathematics Abstracts and Mathematical Didactics. This site details The Euler Project and the Jahrbuch-project, which aim to provide journals and historical mathematics publications on-line.
History of Science Society
A bibliography of the history of science, tools, resources, and strategies for teaching the history of science are included on this site. Isis Books Received was recently added. The 75th Anniversary annual meeting of the Society is also discussed.
The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications
The IMA web site features descriptions of upcoming articles and items of interest in Mathematics Today, the Institute's general interest mathematics publication. In addition, the site contains reviews of books published by the Institute and articles from the Institute's research journals.
The International Centre for Mathematical Sciences
The Scientific Director of ICMS, a joint venture of Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt Universities, requests proposals for ICMS activities and its "Short Meeting Scheme," for short meetings by young professionals. The site also presents a background on the Center's history and activities.
Japan-U.S. Mathematics Institute
The JAMI web site details the background and goals of the Institute, as well as the programs of annual conferences held since 1988.
London Mathematical Society
This site provides subscription-based on-line access to the LMS Proceedings, Journal, Bulletin, LMS Journal of Computation and Mathematics (a limited-time free on-line subscription), and Nonlinearity, published with the Institute of Physics. The site also details meetings and activities of the Society.
Mathematical Association of America
MAA Online's content includes Books Reviews, descriptions of MAA books recently published, including William Dunham's Euler: The Master of Us All. Other highlights includes four regular on-line columns and database searches of descriptions of articles published in MAA's journals.
St. Petersburg Mathematical Society This web site lists all of the Society's members and home page adresses. Also detailed are seminars in the St. Petersburg area related to mathematics, publications produced by the Society, and a history of the Society. Featured is a list of the recipients of the Young Mathematician Prize awarded annually by the Society.
Virtual Institute of Mathematical Sciences
VIMS offers on-line courses in algebra, analysis, geometry & topology, statistics, computational and numerical mathematics, quantitative sciences, quantitative physics, quantitative economics, and quantitative engineering. Courses are accessed through a java-enabled browser or telnet.
