GoalsThe IVIHSM seeks to encourage substantive research in historical studies of mathematics, to bring together geographically separated scholars in this effort, to examine standards and elucidate promising trends in the field, to present sessions at national and international meetings, to offer a university course with collaborative research among students from around the globe, and to help develop historical books and pamphlets having the classroom as a primary audience. |
